Guidelines for photography, composition, including style and usage.
Choosing the right imagery is fundamental to expressing the Tritium brand.
How to Choosing the right image
Original photography
Tritium photos reflect an organization that is innovative and cutting edge. Stock photographs are images that competitors could also be using.
Images help convey Tritium’s personality, highlight what sets our products apart, and tells a story across our website, social media, and ads. That’s why its important to focus on consistency in colour, framing, and visual mood.
But consistency is more than just a preference—studies have shown that brand consistency can increase revenue by up to 20%. It helps to build trust with buyers and encourages them to take notice of your brand when they recognise it.
In this guide, learn how to build a photography style guide that supports brand consistency, streamlines your workflow, and helps you scale image creation productively.
Stock Images
When selecting stock imagery, it is essential to choose either open-source images or purchase a license for the image you intend to use. The image must adhere to Tritium’s brand tone, values and colours. Selecting images that reflect nature or an uncluttered environment, with a simple composition, can provoke a sense of Tritium’s Sustainability approach.
People
Tritium is a global company, so are its people. When choosing people for photography, ensure that they are multicultural. Tritium’s target audience is the “Business Owner”, in this case, that is people aged 25+. The clothing needs to be smart casual, and the colours need to be on brand or neutral.
“Real-World” Product Images
Tritium chargers are often branded with clients’ logos and brand colours. In this instance, it is acceptable to use images that don’t adhere to Tritium’s brand colours. The image must still be high resolution and clear. It needs to show the product in the best light. This means the surrounding environment must not be littered, vandalised with graffiti, and not competing with other companies’ chargers.

The Don’ts of Using Stock Photography
Whenever possible, choose original Tritium photographs, available in the Assets Library. When original photography cannot be used, choose stock photography that has a candid, realistic feeling. People appearing in stock photography convey the Tritium brand when they appear natural and authentic, not overly-posed or looking into the camera.
