Charger artwork process, CSD Kits and custom graphic design for chargers
Tritium chargers with customer artwork and branding.
Customer submitted design (CSD Kits)
CSD kits – What is in them
Customer CSD
The Sales Rep provides the customer with the CSD kit and the customer sends back their finished artwork.
- Hourly rates apply to additional iteration(s) beyond the two initial technical edits. (Allowance made for 4 Hours).
- Tritium Design Team Production KPIs are based on turnaround time. Our KPIs allow for two business days to make edits or prepare the artwork for print; however, the studio aims to do this within one business day.
Adobe Illustrator templates
1:1 scale templates of the allowable branded surfaces. If the client has purchased additional surfaces (i.e. topcaps), the design studio can provide additional templates on request.
Instructions & checklist
Each kit comes with a PDF explaining the kit’s contents, the artwork approval process and a checklist of what we need for print-ready artwork.
Product renders
Front and back product renders showing only the mandatory Tritium branding.
CSD process – Example
STEP 1 – Customer CSD
The Sales Rep provided the customer with the latest CSD Kit. The customer took two business days to create and send us their design.
STEP 2 – Artwork checked
The customer’s artwork was perfect, and the design did not need any edits or further clarification. The design studio sent out an approval form for the customer to sign on the same business day.
STEP 3 – Approval signed
The customer signed and returned the approval form one business week later. This form, along with the print-ready files, was shared with the production team on the same business day.
CSD process – Example
If the customer is creating their own artwork:
- The logos are in a vector format
- The artwork was created in CMYK
- The fonts are converted to outlines or provided
- All raster images are a minimum of 150dpi at 100% scale
- All linked assets are embedded or provided
If the design studio is designing a custom artwork:
- The logos must be provided in vector format
- We need the customer’s CMYK brand colours
- Customer’s fonts (if available)
- Customer style guide (if available)
The artwork is created in CMYK
Our printer uses Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black ink
Colour – managing customer expectations
Example – BP Pulse The BP Pulse brand colours were optimised for screens. Our chargers are one of their rare print exceptions.
It is essential that clear space is included around the logomark whenever it is used.
The master logomark is supplied as artwork and should never be altered, distorted or re-created in any way.
Custom design – Artwork process
Design brief and development of two design concepts for a commercial customer.
Two design concepts include:
- Hourly rates apply to additional iteration(s) beyond the two initial design concepts (Allowance made for 4 Hours).
- The Design Studio’s Production KPIs are based on turnaround time. The KPIs allow for five business days to create two
custom concepts; however, the studio aims to do this within two business days.
